Home Nestled on a Wooded Lot
Cherry Hill, New Jersey
Great bones. Bad design.
This was a challenging project. And, we like challenges.
The outdated, closed-in, U-shaped kitchen needed some help. So, we tore down two walls! This gave us the space to reconfigure the layout, add an island, and open up the eat-in area. The new tile pulled everything together in one cohesive look.
The back porch was screaming to be turned into a new living space. We redesigned the windows, leveled the slab, and installed new porcelain tile. From drab-ulous to fabulous.
The laundry room felt like an obstacle course. We relocated a door, moved the plumbing, and added a utility sink. From an uninviting space to a useful well-designed laundry & mud room.
The primary bedroom needed, well, some creativity. We reconfigured the closet to give us more space in the ensuite bath. The new layout allowed us to move the vanity and open up the walk-in shower. Nice.
One of the final touches was to grey-wash the fireplace. We liked the result so much we’ve used the color palette in other projects.
